SIAM's Accomplishments
Since 2003, SIAM has achieved a number of the goals set by the early organizing committee. This committee consisted of Lori Huffman, Curator of Collections of The University Museum, SIUC, Adrienne Barkley, Museum Director, John A. Logan Community College, Jo Nast, Grantwriter at John A. Logan College, Dona Bachman, Director of the University Museum, and Mike Jones, Director of the General John A. Logan Museum.
These goals include becoming a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, providing workshops and programs of interest to regional museums, and promoting professionalism among regional museums. These goals have been accomplished through the persistence of that organizing committee.
